This week I received a cheque from easyfundraising in the amount of £202.00. This is the charitable donation from the shops you have bought from online. The more you access your favourite shops through the easyfundraising website the more the parish can receive.

If you shop on-line you can raise money for the parish!

Access over 3,600 shops and sites through easyfundraising.org.uk and the parish will receive charitable donations from the sites you shop at.

Raising free donations when you shop online couldn’t be easier! You’ll find big name retailers such as…

…all ready to help you raise more for St Stephen’s and St Bridget’s when you shop with them.

How to get started:

• Log on to easyfundraising using this link
• Follow the instructions for set up – name/email/password
• Access your chosen shops through this site and the parish will receive charitable donations from the stores you use – ‘simples!’

Don’t forget to spread the word and recommend this to others!

PS: The fund is for both parishes, but I was unable to use both parish names for the fund title.

Archbishop Malcolm will celebrate Mass for Bishop Vincent at the Metropolitan Cathedral on Monday 1 June 2020 at 4.00pm

This Mass will be live-streamed with access via the Cathedral website https://www.liverpoolmetrocathedral.org.uk

The funeral service for Bishop Vincent will take place at Allerton Cemetery, Liverpool on Tuesday 2nd June at 11.30am, where his body will be buried in a family grave. The service, which will be recorded, will be conducted by Bishop Tom.

Archbishop Malcolm has received the following message from Pope Francis on the death of Bishop Vincent Malone:

‘His Holiness Pope Francis was saddened to learn of the death of Bishop Vincent Malone, and he sends prayerful condolences to you and to the clergy, religious and lay faithful of the Archdiocese. United with you in offering thanks to God for the late Bishop’s many years of priestly and episcopal ministry, especially his service to the education of young people, His Holiness commends his soul to the merciful love of our heavenly Father. To all who mourn Bishop Malone’s passing in the sure hope of the resurrection, the Holy Father cordially imparts his Apostolic Blessing as a pledge of peace and consolation in the Risen Lord.’

Online giving

The Archdiocesan online giving website is now ready to be used and can receive both one-off and regular monthly donations for every parish in the archdiocese.

Each parish has its own unique link on the website and a photograph of our church is shown to give you an additional reassurance that you are donating to our parish. All donations will go to the parish selected by the donor.
